Brittany Bonner

Community Activist  |  Healing East Alternative Response Team (HEART)

Brittany is a proud graduate of Austin East Magnet High School, where her leadership shone brightly as she served as Student Body President during her Junior and Senior years. Continuing her educational journey at Berea College, Brittany found serendipity in her ability to pursue her passion for community activism and education through her work at the Highlander Center.
Brittany’s deep commitment to the Knoxville community is evident through her contributions to and the establishment of community-led organizations in the area. Her grassroots efforts, such as the Knoxville Black Mama’s Bail Out and her involvement with the Healing East Alternative Response Team (HEART), exemplify her dedication to positive change. Brittany also lends her expertise to various community boards, including the Tennessee Recovery Alliance and the Volunteer Ministry Center.

Anything involving food, people, and music is a vibe for Brittany. In her downtime, you can catch Brittany jet-setting, singing her heart out (loud) in public, laughing with friends and family, or pursuing a Victory Royale in Fortnite with her squad.
