Freida Saylor

Behavioral Health Director  |  Cherokee Indian Hospital

Dr. Freida Saylor is an enrolled member of the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Indians and was born in Cherokee, NC. She lives there with her family. Dr. Saylor serves the community as the Behavioral Health Director for the Cherokee Indian Hospital. The tribe has invested in health care that prioritizes behavioral health and substance use services for the community.

Freida has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Law and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Western Carolina University; a Masters of Social Work from the University of Central Florida; and a Doctor of Social Work from University of Southern California. She is a licensed clinical social worker and a licensed clinical addiction specialist. 

Dr. Saylor is passionate about working to end cycles of trauma and building up others so they can continue the healing in the community. She loves spending time with her family, traveling, and creating art through clothing and other forms of media.
